On the night of June 26, an unmanned aerial vehicle flew over Gomel and possibly exploded. Residents claim that around 3 AM, they heard a sound characteristic of a military drone's flight, as well as an explosion. Around 2 AM, the drone's hum was heard in Dobrush, writes "Flagstock".

"Judging by the sound, the drone circled, alternately moving away and approaching, and then flew off," an eyewitness told "Flagstock".
"Over Lyubensky, the sound intensified, and then receded, as if [the drone] flew towards the bridge to Chonki," wrote another Gomel resident on a social network.
Several people reported that an explosion in Gomel was heard between 3 and 4 AM in at least the Zheleznodorozhny district (Syalmashauski microdistrict) and the Sovetsky district (Shvedskaya Gorka microdistrict).
It is not precisely known whether one drone flew over the Gomel region or several, nor what model the UAV was.
