Kanapatskaya and security forces advise EHU students and graduates, as well as their parents, to write to the "return commission" just in case
"To avoid indefinite and arbitrary legal consequences on the ground."

Two-time sparring partner of Alexander Lukashenka in presidential elections, Hanna Kanapatskaya (now Trukhanovich by passport), who is a member of the "return commission" (officially – the Commission for the consideration of appeals from citizens of Belarus regarding their commission of offenses), gave advice to individuals "involved in EHU activities," including parents of graduates and students.
Hanna Trukhanovich wrote that at the regular meeting of the commission, she raised the question of EHU — because, in her opinion, an uncertain legal situation has arisen for employees, students, graduates, and even parents who paid for their children's education.
Trukhanovich warned those present that without a unified vertical-departmental approach, local law enforcement agencies could interpret the situation arbitrarily, which would lead to more serious consequences than initially expected.
Security forces and propagandists, who constitute the majority of the commission, came to a decision — let everyone involved with EHU write to the commission themselves and ask if they violated the law.
"I consider it necessary to disseminate this information as widely as possible among interested parties," Hanna Trukhanovich concludes.
