According to Lavrov's version, in Anchorage, where the American and Russian presidents met in person for the first time since the beginning of the war, the US "put on the table" its proposals for a settlement, and Putin "agreed" with them.
"Putin, looking at (Stephen) Witkoff, who was also there, began to list the American proposals point by point. After each point, in the presence of US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Mark Rubio, he asked Witkoff if he had correctly noted the ideas that he had brought to Moscow on the eve of Anchorage. To each of his questions, Witkoff answered positively," Lavrov said.
