The founder of Ukraine's largest drone manufacturer, Fire Point, was asked about the level of Belarusian air defense. His answer was surprising.
“I think Belarusians are not idiots to be left with nothing in the very first hours of the war,” answered Dzianis Shtylerman.
The rhetoric of the Ukrainian side towards Belarus has changed significantly recently. Ukrainian representatives have repeatedly stated that in the event of an imminent threat from Belarusian territory, retaliatory strikes will be launched, and if necessary, preventive ones.
In a new episode of the YouTube channel Pressing, Ukrainian journalist Serhiy Peichev asked Dzianis Shtylerman, founder and chief designer of Ukraine's largest military company Fire Point, how he assesses the state of the Belarusian air defense system.
“I think Belarusians are not idiots to be left with nothing in the very first hours of the war. All their critical infrastructure — everything Lukashenka lives on and fills his pockets with — will be destroyed in the first day. And he won't be able to do anything,” Shtylerman replied.
Recall that Fire Point is the manufacturer of the long-range cruise missile “Flamingo,” and a few weeks ago, the company announced successful flight tests of the new anti-aircraft missile FP-7.x, which is a key element of the new European-Ukrainian air defense system called “Freyja.” According to Shtylerman, the enterprise will be able to produce three missiles per day starting in August.
