The President of Belarus highlighted the importance of Vladimir Putin's visit not once.
“This visit is more important than many economic arrangements of Belarus and Russia and arrangements between Belarus and other countries. It is a signal of a great future for us. As far as Belarus is concerned, we will travel the way with dignity”.
“We set out to make lives of our people better without posing problems for anyone. We want to live at our own expense only, both Russia and Belarus, without creating problems for other nations. In this context we discussed all the matters ranging from tariffs to projects to set up Belarusian-Russian joint ventures and holding companies in the Single Economic Space,” said Belarusian president.
Vladimir Putin, in his turn, also exchanged compliments.
“The very fact of my first foreign visit to brotherly Belarus undoubtedly reflects the special nature of relations between Belarus and Russia”.
“Our meeting with Alexander Lukashenko once again proved the mutual readiness to promote and fill our relations with new content. During the talks we discussed prospects of economic ties in detail,” said Vladimir Putin.
“It was extremely sincere. We talked like colleagues, like friends, comrades about all the problems that interest both Belarus and Russia in view of our integration efforts and in the bilateral dimension,” highlighted Russian president.
