A new Ambassador of the United States to Poland spoke about priorities of the bilateral cooperation.
Stephen Mull mentioned strengthening cooperation in the field of security, development of bilateral economic ties and joint efforts for democratisation in Belarus, money.pl (Poland) reports.
According to the United State's diplomatic representative, elements of the anti-missile system would be deployed in Poland in 2018. President Barack Obama earlier abandoned the programme of deploying a missile defence system in Europe over Moscow's protests.
The ambassador noted democratisation of neighbouring Belarus would be in focus. He thinks Poland could share its experience of system transformations with the former Soviet countries.
Democratisation of Belarus was among interests of the US, the diplomat said.
