The editions of Artis Magnae Artilleriae by Kazimir Siemianovich dated 1650 and 1651 were handed over to director of National Bank Raman Matulski by the Chairperson of BPS-Sberbank Vasili Matushevski. The books were purchased by international group of Russian Sberbank, BelaPAN says.
Belarusian bibliographer Tacciana Roshchyna noted that “Kazimir Semianovich was one of Belarusians who changed the world. The books are topical hitherto as they became the bedrock for rocket building. In spite of Poland considers him to a Pole, and Lithuanians — a Lithuanian, there are no doubts he was a Belarusian.”
Kazimir Siemianovich described multistage rockets 250 years before Tsiolkovsky. He also was the first to tell about delta wing — the obligatory element of supersonic jets.
Artis Magnae Artilleriae by Kazimir Siemianovich was written in Latin and then translated into many languages during author’s lifetime.
