Belarusian computer games development company Wargaming.Net plans to take its PC game World of Tanks to mobile platforms.
Company’s representative Andrej Jarancau said that mastering mobile platforms was quite a logical step.
“But to make it happen, it is necessary to sieve a lot of ‘ore’ among various development studios,” he remarked.
The company plans to carry out a series of research, involving a small prototype game, private testing, and analysis of the results.
The Belarusian developer plans to port the franchise to nearly all the popular platforms.
“It may not be the original World of Tanks but applications based on this franchise should be available on all platforms,” explained the executive.
The Belarusian MMO World of Tanks is one of the most popular games on the Internet. It boasts about 40 million users, including about 4 million active players.
Wargaming Company is now busy working to launch two new games — World of Warplanes and World of Warships.
Belarusian computer games development company Wargaming.Net was founded by Viktar Kisly in 1998.
The company has developed such games as DBA Online, Massive Assault, and Galactic Assault: Prisoner of Power.
The multiplayer online game World of Tanks became their most successful project. The main development center is located in Minsk, two more are located in Kyiv and Saint Petersburg.
