Aliaksandr Trus, chief of Belarusian firm IT-Max told BelTA that most Belarusians prefer $200–300 smartphones and each fifth Belarusian changes his phone annually.
He estimates the market of cell phones in Belarus as 1.6–2mln devices.

In 2011 60 per cent of all sold cell phones were ordinary phones while this year the share reduced to 40 per cent.
The most popular price range for the phoned is $200–300, the second place is shared by phones priced $100–200 and phones priced over $500.
70 per cent of sold phones cost between $100 and $400.
In average, people use one mobile phone 4 years, this indicator has increased by a year.
The expert notes that there will be more smartphones on the market, but the amounts of sales are unlikely to increase significantly.
