Aryna Sabalenka: I don't support the war, meaning I don't support Lukashenka now
After the match at the post-match conference today, Aryna Sabalenka was again asked about her attitude towards the war and Lukashenka. As "Tribuna" writes, the Belarusian stated that it is a difficult question, but she is now against the war, does not support Lukashenka, and does not want her country to be involved in military actions.
— You say you don't support the war. But do you still support Alexander Lukashenka? — Sabalenka was asked.
— Well, that's a difficult question. I don't support the war, meaning I don't support Lukashenka right now," Sabalenka said.
Previously, the Belarusian refused to comment on her support for the Belarusian dictator and the war in Ukraine, after which her press conferences were held in a semi-secret regime or did not take place at all.
Today, Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka advanced to the semifinals of "Roland Garros". In the quarterfinals, she defeated Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, who refused to shake her opponent's hand.
