Belarusian woman seriously injured in a car accident in Thailand returns home
28-year-old Minsk resident Anastasia Yasiukevich, who was seriously injured in a severe car accident in Thailand, is returning to Belarus, Sputnik reports with reference to volunteers' social networks. In early November, she sustained serious injuries in an accident involving a bus in Kanchanaburi province.

In total, five citizens of Belarus and six citizens of Russia were injured in that road accident.
As a result, Anastasia suffered a spinal fracture, several rib fractures, traumatic pneumothorax, and significant blood loss. She underwent several operations, including the removal of her gallbladder and spleen. The process was complicated by the need for donor blood of a rare group (third negative), and help came only from a resident of Crimea who donated two liters of blood.
The Belarusian woman spent about five weeks in the hospital. At the end of November, her sister Hanna arrived from Minsk and is now accompanying Anastasia home to her son.
