Multiple medalist of world championships in rhythmic gymnastics Melitina Staniouta shared on Instagram that she said «Oui» — «yes» in French — to her chosen one.
Her chosen one proposed to her in Prague during a surprise trip — the gymnast didn't know where she was going until the last moment; she was just told to pack a suitcase. Melitina thought it would be a winter Christmas trip.
«We spent our last evening in Prague in a bar. The plan was to go up to the restaurant's rooftop. It's a good thing I got my nails done before the trip,» Staniouta joked.
In the video, the gymnast showed her chosen one for the first time.
In 2020, the outstanding athlete signed a letter in favor of new fair elections and against violence, and was forced to emigrate. Today, she coaches children around the world and lives in France.
