Such centers are to be established based on existing medical institutions — the Emergency Medical Hospital, the 10th City Clinical Hospital, as well as the Minsk Scientific and Practical Center for Surgery, Transplantology, and Hematology. Currently, all facilities are at the design stage.
The main goal is to make emergency medical care in the capital more effective and prompt. According to representatives of the city health department, the flagship centers will integrate rapid diagnostics, consultations, and urgent treatment within a day. Essentially, these are specialized units where patients' conditions will be stabilized or primary medical care will be provided.
The project includes a division into three zones.
Patients in critical condition requiring intensive therapy will be admitted to the "red" zone. The "yellow" zone is designed for alleviating acute symptoms, conducting diagnostics, and determining the further course of treatment — surgery, inpatient care, or outpatient assistance. People whose condition does not require intensive intervention will be directed to the "green" zone.
The Mayor of Minsk instructed the relevant services to expedite the preparation and approval of all decisions necessary to commence construction. Implementation timelines will depend on the readiness of the projects, sites, and technical conditions.
