The main suspect in the Monaco explosion, which injured major Ukrainian businessman Vadim Ermolaev and his family, turned out to be a woman of Ukrainian origin. This is reported by "European Pravda" with reference to other media.

The suspect, who left a bag with explosives near the building, was found in one of the European countries (not Monaco or France).

“According to our data, taking into account the facts collected during the investigation, this person likely disguised herself to look like a man,” states an internal memo from the Monaco police, which BFMTV was able to review.

Le Figaro adds that the suspect is of Ukrainian origin.

On the day of the incident, she scouted the area several times, media report.

Shortly before the explosion, this person noticed the Ermolaev family in the Place des Moulins area and decided to follow them.

She overtook them and stopped approximately 10 meters ahead. Then she headed towards the family's house, went up three steps in front of the entrance, and placed the bag with the bomb.

After this, she hastily left the scene, looking back to make sure the family had indeed entered the building. The 13-year-old boy, who was injured in the explosion, was the first to enter the building.

And it was precisely at the moment when Hanna Nasobina, businesswoman Ermolaev's partner, was passing by the bag, that the suspect remotely detonated it "with a device similar to a remote control."

At present, Hanna Nasobina's condition remains critical. Both of her legs have been amputated.

Additionally, a European arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect. A judicial investigation has also been initiated on charges of "attempted murder and complicity," "installation of an explosive device in a public place with criminal intent and complicity," and "criminal association."

Media reported that the investigation in Monaco believes the Security Service of Ukraine might have been involved in the explosion.

The suspect is 39-year-old Anastasia Berezovskaya. She lived in Frankfurt, Germany. She has a snake tattoo on her right arm.

Let us remind that on June 29, at approximately 9:00 PM, an explosion in Monaco injured three people, two of whom sustained very serious injuries. According to media reports, this refers to major Ukrainian businessman Ermolaev and his relatives.

Vadim Ermolaev is a businessman from Dnipro, founder of the "Alef" trade and production corporation and one of the largest developers in the city. Previously, he was regularly included in Forbes' list of the 100 wealthiest people in Ukraine. In 2019, he renounced his Ukrainian citizenship in favor of a Cypriot passport.

In 2023, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine imposed sanctions against him for a period of 10 years. According to Ukrainian authorities, these measures were related, in particular, to accusations that part of his business continued operations in annexed Crimea after 2014.

Ermolaev himself publicly denied these accusations.

Ermolaev's eldest son, Artur, created a network of fraudulent call centers that deceived EU residents.
