What are the most expensive paintings in the National Art Museum
There are two of them — from the collection of Russian art.
Iryna Matsyas, the general director of the National Art Museum, spoke on ONT about the most expensive paintings in the museum. She noted that the works in the museum's collection are invaluable treasures. However, their insurance value is specified in the documents for the paintings.
“The most expensive works are Kuindzhi, Repin. By insurance value, they are among the most expensive,” Matsyas noted.
She clarified that it's about 6 million dollars per painting.
In the museum, in the collection of Russian art from the 18th — early 20th centuries, there are paintings by Arkhip Kuindzhi «Birch Grove» (1901) and Ilya Repin's «Moonlit Night. Zdravnyovo» (1896).
