Hangars with fighter jets were the target.
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) announced an attack on the "Saky" military airfield in occupied Crimea.
The main target of the attack was the airfield's infrastructure. The SBU states that five drone hits on hangars for storing aviation equipment have been confirmed.
According to preliminary SBU data, Su-30 and Su-30SM fighter jets were in two hangars at the time of the strike. After the attack, a fire was recorded in the hangar with the Su-30SM, which, the SBU writes, indicates a successful hit on the military target.
The estimated cost of each such aircraft ranges from 30 to 50 million US dollars, depending on modification and configuration.
The special service emphasized that the operation took place within the framework of a 40-day campaign to impact the Russian Federation.
