Andrei Matalyga worked in advertising and film as a cameraman and producer. He passed away on the night of Friday, February 6. According to preliminary information, the man suffered a heart attack. He was 37 years old.
«He went to Sri Lanka for the winter, to a surf camp for IT specialists. He had been feeling unwell, but nothing serious. He was found in bed in the morning in the usual sleeping position of a person,» his acquaintances said.
An autopsy will determine the exact cause of death.
Andrey is a graduate of the Belarusian University of Informatics and Radioelectronics and the Baltic School of Film and Media. As a cinematographer, he worked on films such as White Rabbits (2023), The End of the Chain (2017) and Roof Knocking (2017).
Most recently, he lived in Berlin and worked at Vocal Image, where he held the position of creative producer.
