In Gomel, a client accidentally pinned an auto service employee with his car. The employee underwent lengthy treatment.
The owner of a car came to the service center of a well-known car brand with faulty brakes. To find out the cause of the breakdown, the car had to be driven onto a lift. The accident occurred due to a violation of safety rules during this process, reports the publication «Belka».

According to the rules, a master working the shift should drive the car onto the lift. However, such a specialist had not been at the station for a long time, and mechanics were forced to manage on their own. Since the employee often remained alone in the workshop, clients themselves drove cars onto the lift, although this is forbidden.
That's what happened that day. The driver drove towards the lift, and the mechanic stood in front of the car to help guide its movement. At some point, the owner suddenly pressed the gas, and the brakes failed. As a result, the car flew over the restrictors, fell down, and pinned the mechanic's legs.
The injured person underwent lengthy treatment, walking on crutches for several months. It is possible that he will need knee replacement surgery in the future. Evidence has been gathered against the 28-year-old client in a case concerning the careless infliction of less severe bodily harm. The materials have been sent to court.
Punishment under this article includes arrest or restriction of freedom for up to two years.
