In Minsk, a drunk man robbed a similarly drunk woman. Now he will pay a fine

In Minsk, a verdict was handed down to a 44-year-old man, who was accused of robbing an intoxicated woman. At the same time, the robber himself was in the same state, reported the agency "Minsk-News".

As it turned out, that day the man was heavily drunk — he had consumed about 0.7 liters of vodka, but wasn't satisfied with that and went to a gas station at night for beer. On his way back near the "Shcharbakova" bus stop, he noticed a woman's handbag near a rubbish bin and took it for himself.

But when he went into the bushes and started looking through the contents of the handbag, he saw a woman nearby, lying on the ground and unable to get up — she was also heavily drunk. The man realized that he had her belongings in his hands. However, he first even helped the woman get up, but then demanded that she take off and give him her gold earrings. The woman handed over the jewelry without resistance.

After this, the man took the handbag and went on his way. The handbag contained documents, a phone, a wallet with cards and money (129 dollars and 5 rubles), cosmetics, and other items. The woman followed the robber and asked him to return her property, but he paid no attention to her requests.

Later, he spent the money on his own needs, gave the earrings to his mother, and handed the phone to his wife, saying that he had found it. His wife later returned the phone to its owner.

The victimized woman reported the incident to the police. After the suspect was detained, he fully admitted guilt, repented, and compensated for the damage. The man worked at a car wash and had previously had problems with the law.

The court found him guilty of robbery. As a result, he was fined 100 basic units (4500 rubles) and ordered to undergo compulsory treatment for chronic alcoholism.
