The project has already been developed. The client is identified as the Capital Construction Department of Minsk City Executive Committee. This will be a sports complex for year-round extreme sports, Valery Varanitski, head of the Central District administration, told Minsk-News.
— Skateboarding is popular among young people, and teenagers often choose public places for it. They also skateboard near the Museum of the Great Patriotic War, on granite parapets and steps, which damages the landscaping, leads to injuries for skateboarders and even passers-by. A specialized place for skateboarding would help solve this issue, — noted Valery Varanitski.
The city systematically works on the construction of necessary sports facilities and structures. The Central District hosts about 340 such facilities — from large ones like the Palace of Sports and "Minsk-Arena", to inter-school stadiums and courtyard sports grounds.
