How Public Transport Will Operate in Minsk on May 9. Major Changes Expected
Due to cultural and mass events dedicated to Victory Day, significant changes will be made to the operation of city passenger transport on May 9, Minsk-Novosti writes .

Movement near the 'Victory Monument'
From 16:00 on May 9 until the end of the wreath-laying and flower-laying ceremony at the 'Victory Monument' obelisk, traffic will be restricted on Nezavisimosti Avenue in the area of Victory Square. During this period, the routes of several services will be changed.
Buses No. 18, 26, 26a, 26d will detour via Zakharova St., Pershamaiskaya St., Z. Biaduli St., Kozlova St., Masherova Ave., Daumana St. (in both directions).
Buses No. 100, 1064-TK, 1076-TK, 1151-TK, 1547-TK, and trolleybus No. 22 will follow the following scheme: Nezavisimosti Ave. — Kozlova St. — Z. Biaduli St. — Pershamaiskaya St. — Ulianovskaya St. — Sverdlova St. — Nezavisimosti Ave.
Bus No. 115e will travel along a similar detour loop, but without making stops on the changed section.
Shuttle buses No. 1152-TK will go in the direct direction via Kirova St. and Babruiskaya St., and back via Sverdlova St. and Ulianovskaya St. Shuttle bus No. 1119-TK in the direct direction will go via Yakub Kolas Square, V. Khoruzhei St., Kuibysheva St., Yakub Kupala St., M. Bogdanovicha St. to Pobediteley Ave. Their return journey will be organized via Nemiga St., Kuibysheva St., and Masherova Ave.
Bus No. 57 will change direction to Pulikhava St., Pershamaiskaya St., Ulianovskaya St., Babruiskaya St., K. Tsetkin St., and Dzerzhinskogo Ave.
Shuttle bus No. 1400-TK and suburban bus No. 300E will be rerouted via Babruiskaya St., Sverdlova St., Aranskaya St., Partizansky Ave., Vaneeva St., Vaupshasava St., Radialnaya St., Filimonova St., after which they will exit onto Nezavisimosti Ave. Stops will also not be made on this section.
Additionally, from approximately 12:00, the 'Victory Square' and 'Yanki Kupaly' stops will be canceled for all types of transport.
Concert near the Sports Palace
From 10:00 to 21:30, a festive concert program will take place on the grounds near the Sports Palace. During this period, the number of vehicles on routes No. 1, 24, 69 will be increased.
In addition, after the concert and fireworks (approximately after 23:00), a reserve of buses will be deployed for the prompt transportation of festival guests.
On Saturday, from 8:00, the 'Sports Palace' stop will be canceled for all routes.
In case of traffic restrictions on Pobediteley Avenue in the area of the Sports Palace, additional changes will be introduced:
- buses No. 1, 69, 119S, 1056-TK, 1119-TK will go via Pobediteley Ave., Masherova Ave., Timiryazeva St., Kalvariyskaya St., Romanovskaya Sloboda St., Gorodskoy Val St., and Nezavisimosti Ave. For route No. 119S, stops 'Romanovskaya Sloboda', 'Gorodskoy Val', 'Frunzenskaya Metro Station', 'Museum of the Great Patriotic War History' will be added. The 'Valadarskaha' stop will be canceled for them;
- buses No. 73 and 163 will change their route via Moskovskaya St., L. Tolstoy St., and K. Tsetkin St., with movement along Kalvariyskaya St. and Romanovskaya Sloboda St.;
- bus No. 91 from Pobediteley Ave. will head along Masherova Ave., Timiryazeva St., Kalvariyskaya St., Romanovskaya Sloboda St., and Nemiga St.
Metro Operation
On Victory Day, the capital's subway will switch to an enhanced schedule:
- on the 1st and 2nd lines, from 9:00 to 11:00, the train interval will be five minutes, from 11:00 to 00:00 — four minutes;
- on the 3rd line, from 9:00 to 11:00, the train interval will be seven minutes, from 11:00 to 00:00 — six minutes.
A reserve of trains is also provided in case of a sharp increase in passenger traffic.
