On the night of June 14, Russia was again attacked by drones. One of the main targets of the attack was the Novomoskovsk chemical plant «Azot» in the Tula region. A fire broke out there after a series of explosions. This was reported by monitoring channels, as well as the region's governor, Dmitry Milyaev.
According to local authorities, fragments of downed drones fell onto the territory of the industrial facility. Monitoring groups and footage from eyewitnesses indicate a serious fire on the territory of this chemical giant.
The «Azot» plant is one of the largest specialized enterprises in Russia. In addition to producing civilian products such as mineral fertilizers, ammonia, and methanol, the enterprise manufactures nitric acid and special chemical raw materials. These components are directly supplied to Russian military factories for the creation of explosives and ammunition for the needs of the army, making the facility an important part of the country's military-industrial complex.
A fuel depot in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl region, was also attacked.
That same night, residents of other Russian regions also reported explosions and the operation of air defense systems. In particular, in the Smolensk region, railway infrastructure in the city of Vyazma, which is actively used for military and cargo transportation, likely came under drone attack.
Additionally, in the city of Orel, a multi-story residential building caught fire after another attack. Information on possible casualties is being clarified.
