In Minsk, the summer music and tourism season will begin this Saturday
Katsiaryna Luchyna, head of the culture department of the Minsk City Executive Committee, announced the program prepared by the organizers this year on May 18, Minsk-news reports .
This year, not only the Upper Town area will become a venue for cultural events. The geography of entertainment will also expand to the Loshitsky historical and cultural complex, Rakovskoye Dvorik, and the area near the Palace of Sports.
The Minsk Festival of Folk Crafts will open the summer music and tourism season.
— In the Upper Town, you will be able to listen to classical music. In addition, we are bringing back the project "Jazz Evenings at the Town Hall," — Katsiaryna Luchyna reported. — An open-air library, a children's area, and a karaoke stage will also be set up here, where enthusiasts can compete in vocal art.
At the Loshitsky historical and cultural complex, theatrical evenings will be held on Fridays. On Saturdays, it will host a new city project — "Formula for Success." Students from metropolitan universities will showcase their talents there.
The area near the Palace of Sports will start operating on May 30.
— Bright, interesting youth programs have been prepared, — said the head of the culture department of the Minsk City Executive Committee. — On Fridays, evening film screenings will take place here near the amphitheater. We also await fans of intellectual and musical quizzes here. On Saturdays, concerts featuring all the capital's radio stations, including "Radio-Minsk," will be held near the Palace of Sports. And on Sunday, this venue will host sports events.
Luchyna also announced that this year it was decided to revive the "Pieshakhodka" project. This is a festival of street musicians and artists in Minsk, held during the warm season.
