The US Secretary of State, who is on a visit to India, stated that US and Iranian negotiators have "a pretty reliable option on the table" and that a deal could be reached on Monday that would end the war between the two countries.

Previously, Donald Trump reported that he had instructed negotiators "not to rush into an agreement," although he had previously indicated that a deal was close, writes Bild.
According to the American press, the agreement provides for a 60-day extension of the truce, the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and a plan for further negotiations on Iran's nuclear program.
"We're still working on it. As I said, we thought we might have news last night. Maybe today," Rubio said Monday in Delhi. "We have, I think, a pretty strong argument in terms of their willingness to open the strait."
However, Rubio advised "not to attach too much importance to it," as "it will take some time to get a response from Iran."
