Recently, 38-year-old Joyce Hübner ran her 367th marathon — the record was set in the federal state of Lower Saxony, writes Bild.
Previously, the record was held by 56-year-old Belgian Hilda Dassonville, who ran 366 marathons.
However, Hübner does not intend to stop there: by October, she plans to run through each of Germany's 2059 cities.
The total length of the route (including the distance already covered) is more than 21 thousand kilometers, or 495 marathon distances. The Berlin woman plans to conclude her long run with a grand finale on October 8 at the Olympic Stadium in the German capital.
Hübner began her run about a year ago. For this, the qualified business administration specialist quit her job. To date, she has managed to avoid injuries and serious incidents.
