It is reported that the EHU administration is in constant interaction with representatives of the university community to ensure proper and timely information exchange among all interested parties:
"Students and faculty are provided with access to necessary information, allowing them to navigate the situation, including relevant recommendations, as well as the possibility of individual support on specific issues."
The state bodies of the Republic of Lithuania, EHU founders, and donors regularly receive information about the latest events, the university reported:
"Possible further response measures are under discussion; at the same time, steps are being taken to obtain a reaction and support from the international community."
As of today, human rights defenders are aware of more than 30 searches in the EHU case, which took place on June 2-4. The reason was a criminal case initiated by the authorities for "facilitating extremist activities" and "financing" them.
Parents are being forced to contact their children studying at EHU and living in Lithuania, demanding that they apply for expulsion and return to Belarus. They are given up to 10 days to withdraw from the university.
The KGB is also visiting university graduates, demanding their EHU diplomas.
