Russia's main St. Petersburg Economic Forum will take place against the backdrop of giant fires at the oil terminal.
Residents of St. Petersburg report that from approximately three in the morning, explosions began to be heard over the city.
Governor Alexander Drozdenko reported 50 downed drones at around seven in the morning local time.
In the Kirovsky district of the city, as a result of the attack, the "Petersburg Oil Terminal" — one of the largest transshipment complexes involved in storing, processing, and shipping oil — caught fire.
Moreover, judging by the video, Ukrainian drones struck the reservoirs almost unimpeded. At least six strikes were captured on video.
A huge column of smoke also rose in Kronshtadt, at the Baltic Fleet base. Later, Ukraine's Drone Operations Forces published a video: the strike was launched on the corvette "Boykiy", which was being repaired there.
Dozens of flights were delayed at Pulkovo Airport. Rosaviatsiya introduced the "Carpet" plan around four in the morning. Local residents claim that warnings about the threat of drone attacks in the region were received late.
