Belarusians complain that their favorite panda-branded curd snacks are 'not the same'. Has the recipe changed after being transferred to 'Savushkin Product'?

Fans of Polotsk's 'Mishu' panda-branded curd snacks are complaining on social media that their beloved product is disappointing. The biggest concern is the chocolate glaze, which some now say resembles plasticine, while others describe it as a dry topping.

"Now the glaze seems as dry as in other curd snacks in Belarus. I vividly remember that soft chocolate layer that you didn't have to break with your teeth when biting into it, but now that's exactly what happens — it crunches. This is not it," complains one internet user. Some other commentators express solidarity with her.

"For a long time, we only bought these curd snacks. In the last delivery, they were somehow different — the glaze is different, not for the better for me";

"They ruined such a good product. The glaze became like plasticine. There's no need to change ingredients," customers of online delivery services for various stores leave feedback.

At the Polotsk Dairy Plant, a reader of 'Nasha Niva' was confirmed that employees of 'Savushkin Product' are now fully responsible for the recipe and production of the curd snacks.

However, the latter denies assumptions about interference with the traditional recipe.

"We only changed the packaging, we did not change the recipe. We are interested in preserving the original taste of the curd snack and not losing its army of fans. And if we were to change the recipe, the curd snack would disappear from the shelves for a year or two. Patenting a new recipe is a very long process. This procedure is connected with the Ministry of Health and other authorities; it involves many bureaucratic stages."

The factory added that among the changes, it can be noted that the curd snacks are produced on new, more modern equipment. But all processes are carried out together with Polotsk colleagues who continue to work in production:

"The perception of taste is, after all, a very subjective thing. Several people will have completely opposite impressions of the exact same product."
