Aryna Sabalenka has 9090 points, while Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan) has 8143. The gap has narrowed to 947 points, having previously been 1647.
The reason is that Aryna lost in the semifinals of "Roland Garros" and was unable to defend the 1300 points earned for reaching the final last year, and these points, according to the rules, expired.
Iga Swiatek (Poland) is in third place with 6733 points. The winner of "Roland Garros", Russian Mirra Andreeva, rose to 6th place, with 5751 points.
Sabalenka has held the title of world number one since October 19, 2024.
