Minsk carsharing service Hello announced the launch of a new direction in its fleet — retro cars.
The first car was the legendary "kopeyka" — VAZ-2101, which is already available for rent through the mobile application, writes Blizko.by.
The company calls the novelty not just a car, but a real time machine. It is a classic model, with which the automotive history of several generations of drivers began for many.
The retro car has retained its distinctive features: a manual gearbox, chrome body elements, and the recognizable design of the 1970s.
The carsharing service notes that the main feature of the car is its maximally "lively" driving experience without modern electronic assistants.
Users over 25 years old with a driving experience of at least two years will be able to rent the VAZ-2101. The cost of a trip starts from 0.89 rubles per minute.
Currently, a blue "kopeyka" is available in the app. Another pistachio-colored car is undergoing testing and should appear in the service next week. The company clarified that retro cars will only be available during the summer season.
For fans of unusual trips, photo shoots, and controversial Soviet automotive nostalgia, this is perhaps one of the most unusual novelties from Minsk carsharing recently.
