Local public page slonim_live asked a question to the chatbot of the Slonim District Executive Committee, why trees are being massively cut down and immediately burned near the local Soldatskoye Lake.
«Tell us what's happening at Soldatskoye, a significant amount of vegetation has been cut down and is being burned right there, smoke is going towards vacationers… Will the entire hill be cleared? What are the plans for improvement here?» — the question was asked to officials.
They received the following response:
«For the purpose of preparing for the military-historical reconstruction «Liberation of Slonim» as part of the celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus and the 82nd anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from Nazi invaders, work is underway to improve the aforementioned territory, and the territory will also be treated for ticks.»
Officials also announced that due to the preparation for the military-historical reconstruction «Heroic Defense of Slonim. June 1941», from June 30 to July 4, the beach on the same Soldatskoye Lake in the Enka microdistrict will be temporarily closed to visitors.
