Castles in Lebanon and savannas in South Sudan added to the World Heritage in Danger list
The UNESCO Committee has added six new sites to the List of World Heritage in Danger, writes thinktanks.pro.

According to the organization's official website, the World Heritage Committee decided to include three new sites on the World Heritage List under an emergency procedure. Additionally, three sites previously included in the general list were transferred to the List of World Heritage in Danger.
The new sites include:
- Boma-Badingilo Migratory Landscape (South Sudan). This site covers vast areas of the East African savanna, where the world's largest migration of terrestrial mammals takes place.
- Castles of Mount Amel (Lebanon). The site includes five castles that bear witness to the evolution of the region's defense systems since the Crusades.
- Sebastia (State of Palestine). A site preserving archaeological evidence of continuous settlement by various civilizations since at least the 9th century BCE.
Three sites already on the World Heritage List but transferred to the List of World Heritage in Danger:
- Ancient City of Chersonesus Taurica and its Chora (Ukraine). Chora is an ancient agricultural district.
- Historic Inner City of Paramaribo (Suriname).
- Ancient City of Tyre (Sour, Lebanon).
