A few weeks ago, it was reported that a Belarusian woman was freed from slavery (online scamming) in Myanmar.

A citizen of Belarus, who was illegally held on the territory of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, happily returned home on August 5, BelTA reports.
This became possible thanks to the diplomatic mission, together with the Ministries of Internal and Foreign Affairs of Myanmar, conducting a coordinated and decisive set of measures to locate and free the compatriot.
"In contact with Thai law enforcement and with the direct participation of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus in Bangkok, Koranon Sukonritikorn, the safety of the Belarusian citizen was ensured during transit through the territory of the Kingdom of Thailand. The situation in the region of responsibility of the foreign institution, including in Myanmar, remains complex," noted the Embassy of Vietnam and Myanmar concurrently.
