40 Tons of Pork Fat from Belarus Not Allowed into Russia

In Russia's Smolensk region, approximately 40 tons of pork fat transported from Belarus were not allowed entry. Two trucks carrying the product were detained by Rosselkhoznadzor employees.

The cargo was packed in polyethylene film and bore veterinary stamps from a Spanish manufacturing enterprise. However, the drivers did not have the necessary veterinary certificates and accompanying documents.

Furthermore, the import of products from this Spanish enterprise into Russia has been restricted since 2009.

The trucks were sent to a parking lot. Specialists are conducting a product inspection to exclude the risk of introducing infectious animal diseases into Russia.
