11-year-old boy took $100,000 from apartment and left it under the balcony for scammers
A schoolboy in Minsk fell victim to phone scammers.
An unknown person called the fifth-grader, introduced himself as an employee of "Beltelecom", and during the conversation obtained the parents' data, reports the publication "Na strazhe" (On Guard).
Then a "law enforcement officer" contacted the boy, intimidating him by threatening to send his parents to prison and him to an orphanage. Under pressure, the boy took 30,000 euros and jewelry worth 70,000 dollars from the family safe, after which he left them under the balcony, from where the property was taken by the criminals.
