Belavia Explained Why Passengers Are Not Served Draniki During Flights
The airline "Belavia" explained why draniki are still not in the carrier's in-flight menu. As Galina Kovshova, head of the airline's ground handling complex, explained to Tochka.by, preparing this dish for serving on a plane turned out to be not so simple.

"Draniki are a rather complex product to serve on a plane exactly as we love them in Belarus, fresh off the stove. What reaches the passenger after special preparation and pre-heating on board does not satisfy us. Quite a lot of time will pass, and the draniki will no longer be as tasty and hot, which is when they bring the greatest pleasure," commented the airline's representative.
Galina Kovshova noted that food during a flight should not disappoint the passenger.
"That's why draniki are not on the menu. But we are working on it. And if we manage to achieve the taste that we like, then we will start serving this dish on board," she assured.
In addition, Belavia showed journalists additional in-flight catering. This option is paid for during the flight. It can be added to a booking on the airline's website in the "Booking Status" section no later than 25 hours before departure.

Passengers are offered sets of pirozhki (small baked buns with various fillings).
"We thought for a long time about what dish to offer that would be tasty and convenient to eat on the plane. And so that it would have a touch of something authentic. Not a hot dog or a burger. And it was decided that pirozhki would be a good choice. They provide a certain home comfort. And we wanted to please our passengers in this way, to make the flight comfortable," Galina Kovshova noted.
