Siarhei Sivets — new Chairman of the Constitutional Court

Siarhei Sivets has been appointed Chairman of the Constitutional Court; this decision was made by the All-Belarusian People's Assembly (VNS).

He is 52 years old, he is a lawyer. Until recently, he was a member of the Council of the Republic.

Previously, the court was headed by 71-year-old Piotr Miklashevich, who had held the position since 2008.
