On Wednesday evening, street lighting in Minsk was switched on not at the usual time, but around 7:00 PM. This happened after Lukashenka's outrage that the lighting was being switched on earlier. Yesterday's late switch-on caused great indignation on social media.
Minskgorsvet told «Zerkalo» that they acted according to the decision of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
— Whatever they decide there, that's how it will be, — an employee stated.
The reception desk of the Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, Vladimir Kukharau, admitted that there were «very many» angry calls regarding the light being switched on an hour later.
