In Minsk, a passenger argued with a trolleybus driver. Who was to blame?
In TikTok, a Minsk resident complained about a trolleybus driver who allegedly did not sell tickets upon the first request. How the conflict ended, Minsk-News writes .
The incident between the passenger and the driver of trolleybus No. 90 occurred at the beginning of February. According to the Minsk resident, she quickly got into the salon through the rear door and headed to the driver to buy tickets. However, the driver allegedly ignored the passenger — the transport started moving away from the stop. At the intersection, when the trolleybus was stopped at a traffic light, the Minsk resident tried again to purchase tickets.
— She moves her driver's seat back, turns to me and says: "Am I a cashier for you here? Don't you see that you're distracting me? I'm at a traffic light," the Minsk resident recounts the dialogue.
— I say: "You're not moving, are you? You're stopped." She starts arguing, yelling at me, I also argue with her. As a result, she turns away and says: "Go away."
The passenger claims that the quarrel continued at the next stop, and the video monologue ends with reflections: the Minsk resident is not to blame for drivers being obliged to sell tickets.
"Minsktrans" investigated the situation — rudeness on the part of the driver was confirmed:
— For violating the work instruction regarding passenger service culture, the trolleybus driver was brought to accountability. She also received additional instruction on preventing similar incidents, the company reported, but noted that the resident's opinion does not objectively reflect the essence and does not reveal all the circumstances of the conflict.
Indeed, the passenger herself thanked the driver for waiting for her and allowing her to enter through the rear door (the Minsk resident was not waiting for the transport at the stop, but running up to the trolleybus). After that, the driver started moving, which means she needs to ensure the safety of starting movement from the stop, and all her attention is focused on the road. Selling a ticket at that moment is impossible.
Specialists reminded that to purchase a ticket from the driver, one must enter the vehicle through the front door. Furthermore, tickets are only sold at bus stops. It is forbidden to distract the driver from operating the vehicle or interfere with them during movement.
