Nikola Zakharanka's Book Published — Straltsov Prize Laureate
Digraf Publishing House, recently founded by the prematurely deceased Raman Tsymberau, has published a book by Nikola Zakharanka, laureate of the Mikhas Straltsov Literary Prize.

The edition of selected works titled "On That Edge of the Earth," which is itself the award to the writer, contains poetry, prose, and journalism, writes bellit.info.
The prize jury awarded Nikola Zakharanka "For the creative embodiment and preservation of classical literary traditions, fidelity to the language of the Polesian hinterland, and the metaphorical-folkloric exploration of the spiritual world of Belarusians."
The stories in the book "On That Edge of the Earth" are plot-engaging, populated by recognizable characters from the Polesian hinterland. The tragedy and festive joy of their lives are as if illuminated from within by a semi-fairy-tale light. Both poems and stories are written in a very vivid language, which often approaches the language of the characters themselves. The journalistic part of the book contains articles on acute social topics.
Aksana Sprynchan served as the editor of the selected works "On That Edge of the Earth."
