19-year-old cadet of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Academy got a target tattooed on his forehead and went to storm Zaporizhzhia. The idea worked

Ivan Lamanosau was born in April 2006 in the village of Luhavaia Slabada, very close to Minsk.

In 2022, the guy tried to enroll in the capital's Aviation Academy and managed to give an interview to journalists while submitting documents.

"Yesterday's schoolboy Ivan Lamanosau came to the academy with his father, who helped his son choose his direction.

— I'm submitting documents for the specialty "technical operation of aviation equipment," — the boy briefly answers.

— And where else to go? — adds the applicant's father. — For a boy, a technical education will not be superfluous. Some men can't tell a nut from pliers.

— I can't distinguish an open-end wrench from a socket wrench, — the boy smiles.

— See, that way a person will know how it works, won't ask: "Dad, how do I unscrew this?" I understand this, but I can't explain everything. But here they approach it more carefully, they'll break everything down, — the man ponders. — No one in our family is connected with aviation. Only a neighbor works as a pilot, a good example," — the agency "Minsk-News" quoted the family.

But, as can be understood from subsequent events, Lamanosau was not accepted into the Aviation Academy. Ivan spent a year somewhere, and in 2023 he entered the Ministry of Internal Affairs Academy — they accept almost everyone willing.

The guy's social networks at that moment — like those of many cadets — were cleared, his "VKontakte" page became empty.

At the end of May 2025, Ivan asked in chats how much a trip from Belarus to Ukraine would cost. He was told that a trip to Kyiv via Warsaw would cost $200.

Ultimately, Lamanosau went to Ukraine from the other side. It is not exactly known when or why, but soon the guy found himself in the Russian army, and on September 22, 2025, he went on a combat mission near Zaporizhzhia with a Russian, who eventually died. It was from his relatives that it became known that he was going into battle "with a young Belarusian with the call sign 'Lamanos'." This "Lamanos" is the 19-year-old Ivan Lamanosau.

His relatives confirmed that Ivan is "missing." This is a euphemism which, in the context of Russian meat assaults, in most cases means that the soldier was eliminated by the Ukrainian defense forces.

By the time of his probable death, Lamanosau no longer resembled a cadet of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Academy. He got a tattoo on his entire neck in Latin, where only the bottom word is discernible (written with a mistake): "Rhutenia". "Ruthenia" is the Latin equivalent of "Rus'."

And also, prophetically, he got a target tattooed on his forehead.

Notably, this is already the second case where a young Belarusian cadet dies in the war. Recently, "Nasha Niva" reported on 18-year-old Roman Shpak from the Military Academy, whose fate broadly coincides with Lamanosau's fate.
