Hundreds of Russian military trucks were attacked by Ukrainian drones on the Taganrog — Mariupol — Melitopol — Dzhankoy highway.
The authenticity of dozens of video recordings was confirmed by the BBC Verify fact-checking team jointly with analysts from the OSINT project GeoConfirmed.
This highway has become one of the main targets for Ukrainian drones.
The analyzed videos show burnt trucks and other military vehicles on various sections of the highway.
According to Clement Malean from the Atum analytical center, at least 150 vehicles located more than 20 kilometers from the front line are known to have been destroyed, and this is likely only half of all such cases.
Daily, according to Robert Tollast, a land warfare expert from the British analytical center RUSI, one Russian brigade should receive up to 1000 tons of supplies (fuel, food, and ammunition). If supply routes are cut off, in his opinion, this will become a very serious problem for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
