According to staff, Maksim is more sociable and socially adapted. "He is closer to people and ready to help Yaseniya get used to her new life," the park noted.
Yaseniya arrived in our country from the USA in a sea container; she was discovered by Grodno customs officers. Initially, the animal was quarantined at the Oshmyany District Veterinary Station, then moved to the Animal Park in Baranovichi.
It was at the park that they discovered the raccoon, initially thought to be a male and named Senya, was actually a female. They began to select a new name for her and eventually named her Yaseniya and issued a passport.
Now Yaseniya and Maksim will settle in together. Park staff promise to monitor their relationship and share updates with visitors.
