Belarus and Egypt are considering organizing a direct flight between Minsk and Cairo. This was announced by Artur Karpovich, Chairman of the Belarusian-Egyptian Joint Trade Commission and head of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade, following a meeting of the commission, BelTA reports.

Artur Karpovich emphasized that a direct air connection between Cairo and Minsk would contribute to the development of tourism. Previously, direct charter flights operated between Belarus and Egypt from Minsk and regional airports to the resorts of Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada. The main carrier is Belavia.
In addition, the parties at the meeting discussed the prospect of joint assembly of equipment, increasing exports, and the participation of the Egyptian side in Belarusian projects. In particular, according to Artur Karpovich, Belarus views Egypt as a hub for Belarusian industry to enter the African continent.
