In Grodno, a woman was detained for stealing thujas from a cemetery
In Grodno, the police detained a 44-year-old woman suspected of stealing ornamental thujas from the "Auls" cemetery. Earlier, an 85-year-old local resident contacted the police, reporting that four coniferous trees had disappeared from her relative's grave.

During operational activities, RUUS employees identified the suspect. She had a previous conviction.
According to the investigation materials, the woman and her companion arrived at the cemetery, but after visiting the grave, decided to continue the day with alcohol. Having no money for alcohol, she noticed the thujas near one of the graves.

The woman uprooted the plants and took them outside the cemetery, planning to sell them. She managed to sell one bush, while the other three were confiscated by the police. The amount of damage caused was about 280 rubles.

A criminal case was initiated against the woman under the article "theft," which provides for up to three years of imprisonment.
