In Gomel, a master craftsman created an amulet pendant with the image of the Gomel dragon
In Gomel, local master of medieval crafts Sergey Klimovich created an amulet pendant with the image of the Gomel dragon — a mythical creature that has become one of the unofficial symbols of the city, as reported by "Gomelskie Vedomosti".

For more than thirty years, the master has been restoring ancient metal jewelry and strives to accurately convey their appearance, symbolism, and the spirit of past eras. In his work, he uses various jewelry techniques, thanks to which his products are close to genuine historical artifacts.

Recently, Sergey Klimovich made an exact copy of an ancient amulet pendant associated with the first inhabitant of Gomel. This very image was used in the sculpture located on the city embankment. According to the master, the Gomel dragon is one of the most famous urban images.

The prototype for the modern work was a unique archaeological artifact found during excavations in the territory of modern Gomel. Later, sculptor Vyacheslav Dolgov used this ancient drawing when creating a sculptural composition. Sergey Klimovich wanted to transfer this symbol onto metal so that city residents and tourists could not only see it but also hold it in their hands or purchase it as a memorable souvenir associated with the history of Gomel.

During his main working hours, Sergey Klimovich works at the Gomel Regional Olympic Reserve Center for Applied Sports. However, in his free time, he engages in creative work and has been working as a craftsman in the creative workshop "Bereginya" for about fifteen years.
