As sources claim from Al Arabiya and Al Hadath publications, Tehran is ready to take this step as part of a possible agreement with the US, but wants to receive guarantees from Beijing before signing the agreement.
It was previously reported that the issue of the fate of Iranian enriched uranium would be discussed in negotiations with the US within the next 30-60 days. The American side insists on Iran's complete renunciation of these stockpiles, but a specific mechanism has not yet been agreed upon.
US President Donald Trump advocates for nuclear materials to be under reliable control, and even considers tough scenarios, including the possibility of using special forces to detect them.
Earlier, Russia proposed accepting Iranian uranium for storage or reprocessing, but the US did not support this idea, emphasizing that the main goal is to ensure full control over the materials.
According to IAEA estimates, Iran possesses approximately 440 kg of uranium enriched to 60%. Theoretically, this could be enough to create more than ten nuclear warheads, making this a key issue in negotiations.
As of now, a truce is in effect between Iran, the US, and Israel. According to media reports, the parties have moved closer to an agreement: a draft agreement is already being discussed, which could extend the ceasefire for 60 days and become a step towards a final resolution of the conflict.
