NATO convenes emergency meeting after drone strike on apartment building in Romania
A Russian drone that fell in Romania and injured two people drew NATO's attention.

'The issue will be discussed at a joint meeting,' confirmed Finnish President Alexander Stubb on X, but did not elaborate yet.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte also strongly condemned the incident. 'Russia's reckless actions pose a danger to all of us,' he wrote on X, Bild reports.
U.S. Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker condemned the drone's incursion into Romanian territory. 'We stand with our NATO ally Romania,' he wrote on X. 'The U.S. will defend every inch of NATO territory.'
On Friday night, one of the Russian drones entered Romanian airspace and crashed into the roof of an apartment building in the southern city of Galați, causing a fire. According to Romanian emergency services, two people were injured in the incident and they received on-site assistance.
