Pikhony and Shpililii: Trendy Flower Shop Made an Obscene Joke — and Got Slammed on Social Media
And the owner of the premium-class flower delivery service "Vyetka-Kvyetka" is offended that "skufyny and tyotukhny" didn't understand his humor.

One of the most fashionable (and far from budget-friendly) flower shops in the capital, 'Vyetka-Kvyetka,' published a strange post on Threads: a selection of photos where flower names were altered to create erotic innuendos.

Thus, a photo with lilies was captioned 'Shpililii,' with peonies — 'Pikhony,' with sunflowers — 'Podsosolnukhi,' and with gladioli — 'Hlotalusy.' The caption matched: 'Correct us if we made mistakes in the names,' — followed by a winking emoji.

And social media exploded.
The most popular comment garnered more than 1.5 thousand likes: 'I hope you receive 'pikhony' instead of salary for the next 12 months, and 'podsosolnukhi' instead of profit.'

"As a marketer, I cannot pass by this. This is a case where creativity completely destroyed the buying motive. Flowers are about aesthetics, care, and emotions. Women who buy bouquets for themselves to create comfort, or for friends on holidays, value visual beauty and style, not vulgar humor. A man choosing a gift wants to look respectable, not to be associated with beer bar slang. You managed to alienate both audience segments at once. You certainly increased reach on Threads, but you reduced the brand's value to zero."
"Perhaps this seemed funny to you, but in reality, it's disgusting and vile."
People wondered which of the offered flowers should be given to a mother or a teacher on September 1st.
Many were surprised that the store's founder, Nastassia Ivash, could have allowed such a thing — as she was an example of very refined taste to people.
But it soon became clear that Nastassia is no longer involved with 'Vyetka-Kvyetka' — after the divorce, the project remained with her ex-husband, Anatol Shymakouski.

It was Anatol who approved such an obscene creative. He was tagged multiple times in the comments, but the man responds very nervously: 'Can you leave me out of this? I try not to communicate with 'skufyny and tyotukhny' who lack a sense of humor.'

Meanwhile, outraged women plan to file a complaint about the advertisement with MARG (Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade). They also urge people to buy flowers from Nastassia Ivash, who has already founded a new artisanal floristry shop — Bloomy Jam.
