A passenger of the Zhlobin — Gomel diesel train, while passing under a bridge near the village of Kalinina, noticed a man lying on the ground near the railway.
Thinking that an intoxicated person had fallen from the bridge and needed help, he called the police. It turned out that the man was dead. There were clear signs of violent death on the body, BelTA writes.
It turned out that the deceased was a previously convicted 42-year-old resident of the Bryansk region of Russia, who abused alcohol. The cause of death was blunt force trauma. Despite the measures taken, it was not possible to solve the crime immediately.
This year, important information was received from Russian colleagues, and a suspect in the murder was identified. He turned out to be a 58-year-old repeatedly convicted resident of the Bryansk region.
He was acquainted with the victim and had helped him sell his house the day before the incident, receiving a share of the profit from the transaction. He then promised to help the victim find employment in Belarus. A conflict arose between them on the way, which led to the tragedy.
Moreover, the Buda-Kashalyova murderer is being held in custody in his homeland on charges of murdering a family of four, committed in 1997.
